If you’re not already obsessed with singer/songwriter Lexi Lauren, get ready to meet your new girl crush. At only 15-years-old, Lexi is making a major name for herself in the country music scene and her new video is proof of that! The babe just filmed the video for her song “Beside Me” and it’s everything. Ready for the best part? She shared exclusive info with us about the making of her video:

The video was filmed all around Tennessee! “I had such an amazing time filming the music video for my new song ‘Beside Me,’ which I’m are excited to release soon! We traveled throughout Franklin and Nashville, Tennessee, stopping at three locations to shoot different scenes. The day started at the first set, which was a beautiful studio, where I played guitar and sang in front of these incredible backdrops. I can’t wait for y’all to see it! Then we headed over to the Nashville Biscuit House, where I got my waitress on (wait until you see the amazing waitress costume I wore… It was freaking adorable!). And boy, was it hard not to pop a few biscuits in my mouth, lol,” Lexi shared with us.

Lexi got to film at some of the coolest locations in Nashville, but none was more epic than the video’s final location. “The final location for the shoot was at the stunning East Ivy Mansion. It is an incredible place, but when we were filming, the videographer felt like someone was watching us! We heard lots of strange creeks and noises that were a little spooky, but really cool at the same time! I feel so blessed for the amazing team we had on set, everyone worked so hard and I can’t wait for y’all to see the video soon!” Um, we can’t wait to see the video either!

Hard Candy Christmas by Lexi Lauren (@lexilaurenmusic)

I don’t know if there is as much country Christmas coming out this year as their was last year. It seemed that last year there was quite a few new albums coming out from big names in country music.

If it was me, I would release one new song each holiday season. Trying to see if one would catch on and become a single. Kind of a mix of traditional songs, surprise covers and new tunes.

Today we’re looking at a new Christmas song from Lexi Lauren. She’s been on our blog before. She has a lot of potential and I’m really looking forward to see where her career goes.

15-Year-Old Lexi Lauren Flawlessly Covers Dolly Parton’s ‘Hard Candy Christmas’

Fifteen-year-old country singer Lexi Lauren is celebrating Christmas early. She’s paying tribute to Dolly Parton with a cover of “Hard Candy Christmas.”

You may remember “Hard Candy Christmas” from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Parton also released the track as a single in 1982. It was a pretty successful single, climbing to No. 8 on the country chart. Now, 35 years later, Lauren is putting her spin on the classic song.

“Dolly Parton has always been one of my biggest inspirations. Her music is so unique and different, her heart is overflowing with love for others, and I’ve always admired her writing style,” Lauren explains. “When I decided on releasing a Christmas song, I came across ‘Hard Candy Christmas,’ and absolutely fell in love with the vulnerability and honesty in the lyrics. Dolly did such an amazing job on the song, and I was instantly inspired to do the same!”

She definitely did the queen of country music justice with her version. Watch the lyric video below or check out “Hard Candy Christmas” on Spotify.

Once you let Lauren get you in the holiday spirit, you’ll want to check out her single, “Don’t Text.” The single was released earlier this year and was an important message for young men. This fifteen-year-old is wise beyond her years.

Emerging country music artist Lexi Lauren, 15, is the master of her emotions and lets her audience into her world one note at a time. Being honest through her music and on social media is an outlet for her to share her own experiences in an effort to inspire others. At 10-years-old, Lexi began writing songs on the guitar, and throughout her life has been inspired by artists such as Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, and Alessia Cara for their lyrical honesty.

In 2017, Lexi started posting videos of her singing on Musical.ly and gained over 150k followers in less than 75 days. This unexpected success inspired Lexi to release her debut original song “Don’t Text” in May 2017. The song, which Lexi co-wrote, premiered on Radio Disney, and was mixed by Grammy winner Dave Clauss whose credits include Maren Morris, Keith Urban, and Justin Bieber. More recently, Lexi released her own version of country music icon Dolly Parton’s song “Hard Candy Christmas” to celebrate the holiday season. She is currently working on new original music and her upcoming single “Beside Me” is set to be released in early 2018.

The 14-year-old country songstress just released her DEBUT single “Don’t Text” and its absolutely adorable. The song, which Lexi co-wrote, was mixed by GRAMMY winner Dave Clauss whose credits include Maren Morris, Keith Urban, and Justin Bieber.

“The song is about, how in the time we live in, we’re on our phones SO much; sometimes, we even forget how to communicate in person, or even on the phone. Hearing someones voice is so much better than just texting them 24/7, and once in a while we just need to pick up the phone and call them. It’s an important part of any relationship,” Lexi told CS Country
